User guide

After installing and activating the app, you can access Sales Trust Badges & Labels and start creating product badges:

  1. Log in to your Genstore admin.
  2. From the left menu, go to AppsLabels & Badges.
  3. If the app is not pinned to your navigation bar, open the Installed list under Apps and click to enter.

Create a badge

On the Labels & Badges homepage, click Create.

Configure badge content

In the Content panel, you can configure the following details for each badge:

  • Badge name: Internal name, visible only to merchants.
  • Number of badges: Choose a single badge or multiple badges.
  • Type: Select the display style (icon only / text only / icon + text).
  • Icon: Choose from the built-in library or upload custom icons (e.g., payment, shipping, eco-friendly). Note: You can upload up to 100 icons.
  • Title: Main text displayed to customers on the storefront.
  • Subtitle (optional): Secondary text to provide additional context.

Example: “Wallet” + wallet icon → displayed under the product title.

In the Layout panel, you can customize the style and placement of your badges:

  • Font: Select a font style.
  • Icon color & size: Use custom color codes and pixel sizes.
  • Title / subtitle color & font size: Adjust to match your store branding.
  • Title / subtitle position: Place below the product title or another section. Note: If you choose “below product description,” make sure the product description block exists in your theme; otherwise, the badge will not display. See Genstore documentation.
  • Card design: Enable to display badges in card style.
  • Layout: Arrange badges horizontally or vertically.
  • Spacing: Adjust the spacing between badges and page elements.

In the Settings panel, you can define when and where badges appear:

  • Customer group: Show to all customers or specific customer tags.
  • Location: Show in all regions or specific countries/regions.
  • Effective date: Display permanently or within a set time period.

Example: You can set the “Wallet” badge to display only in the U.S. market, and only on mobile devices.

Under the Actions column, you can:

  • Edit: Update badge settings.

  • Preview: See how it looks on the storefront.
  • Activate / Pause: Toggle display status.
  • Delete: Remove the badge.

FAQ

Q1: Why is my badge not showing?

Please check the following to ensure your setup is correct:

  • The badge campaign is enabled and status is Active.
  • The badge app is enabled in your Genstore theme.
  • The badge placement exists in your theme’s product page (e.g., if placed under Product description, confirm that the block is added).
  • The display rules (time, region, product scope, etc.) are met.
  • If your theme is heavily customized or a rare theme, the app may face compatibility issues. If unsure, contact the app developer for support.
